Asphalt Xtreme REVIEW: Gameloft's try on taking the series OFF-ROAD!

Asphalt Xtreme is now available in some countries, part of the soft-launch of the game and I got a chance to play it:

Watch the gameplay:

Asphalt series has been known for its awesome gameplay and graphics on mobile devices since Asphalt 7 Heat which was the start of the series on Android devices. Asphalt Xtreme, announced in August (leaked earlier this year), is the first Asphalt game which is based on off-road racing.

Rating: 4/5

The game features awesome off-road racing experience with a completely different physics engine than Asphalt 8. Asphalt 8 players may have some issues trying to adapt to the sensitive controls of Asphalt Xtreme. The graphics of this game are 10 on 10. Even on optimal setting the game runs with nice graphics and the gameplay is smooth.

You can choose from a set of playlist the song you want to be played while you race. The game is free to download in store in some countries and will arrive early november worldwide...

The game, even after being free to play, doesnt have a energy system. There is a different kind of energy system other than the typical Modern Combat 5 or Fifa style stamina system. Your each car has its different oil tank which depletes after every race and after 5-6 races, needs to be refilled for a very cheap amount of coins, not tokens. The game's car upgrade and decals system is similar to Asphalt 8...

Tokens are a rare currency so I recommend using them cleverly. The game is a must play for the series' lovers as well as all racing lovers...
